Adam Rolston and Ron Rutland set out to play the world's longest hole of golf. Teeing off from a makeshift tee box, high up in the Altai mountains, the golfer and caddie cover 2000km's across Mongolia finishing off with the final putt at the country’s only golf course on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar.

There are few places on the planet where such a record can be attempted and Mongolia proves to be the perfect choice with its unfenced wide-open valleys, rolling hills, and arid deserts.   Acting totally unsupported and pulling all their gear on a home-made cart, the pair play every shot within the rules and spirit of the game of golf, ending up with an unprecedented score of 6,093 shots over par.

Early on the expedition is turned on its head when the pair are joined by a wild Mongolian dog that refuses to leave their side.  Accepting him as a third member of the team and naming him UB, the outlandish trio set off on this wild adventure together.

The Longest Hole will leave you inspired as Adam and Ron take the most traditional and refined of Western sports to a place of an ancient culture steeped in nomadic tradition.
